Sweating is the body’s way to regulate temperature and to maintain a healthy balance during times of illness, when exercising and as the weather dictates. Excessive under arm sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis) means that you sweat a lot more than most people, even if you are not hot or generating additional body temperature.
Excessive under arm sweating is an extremely common problem, affecting at least 3% of the western world’s population. As well as being upsetting, it can cause serious problems of confidence in people’s lives, as they struggle to cope. It can effect how people interact in social situations, choose what clothes to wear and decide whether or not they participate in sports. The condition is, however, very treatable.

Many people are suffering in silence from an embarrassing problem. Whilst most people can simply spray a deodorant or antiperspirant to solve the issue, excessive underarm sweating affects millions of people in the US. Known as axillary hyperhidrosis, this can destroy confidence and blight lives. But a radical new treatment my be able to provide an immediate and permanent solution.
Everyone sweats to disperse excessive body heat from our bodies, and this sweat is produced from the millions of glands all over our bodies. However, there are some people who sweat from certain areas more than others. Most problematic tend to be the armpits, where excessive sweating here often causes social embarrassment and ridicule, whilst clothes can be damaged clothes beyond repair.
